The Standardization of the Formalization of the Non-Prosecution Agreement within the Public Prosecutor's Office of the State of Tocantins

This article examines the implementation and formalization of the Non-Prosecution Agreement (ANPP) within the Public Prosecutor's Office of the State of Tocantins (MPTO), highlighting the advances and challenges related to the standardization of procedures. Analyzing data collected from nine Public Prosecutor's Offices, the qualitative research reveals that, although there is an alignment with the digitalization of justice through electronic systems like Integrar-e and Google Meet, significant discrepancies persist in case processing, numbering control, and background checks. The main weaknesses identified include inefficient communication with the investigated parties, the absence of a centralized database for consulting previous ANPPs, and a lack of standardization in workflows with the Judiciary. The conclusions point to the urgency of standardizing procedures and investing in technology, such as creating a specific taxonomy in Integrar-e and ensuring interoperability with other systems (E-proc, SEEU), to guarantee the legality, legal certainty, and effectiveness of the ANPP in the state of Tocantins.
