A Strategic Alliance in Favor of the Social Development of the State of Tocantins

The article analyzes the strategic and historical alliance between the State Court of Accounts of Tocantins (TCE-TO) and the Public Prosecutor's Office of the State of Tocantins (MPTO), focusing on its crucial role in the state's social development over the last 35 years. The study identifies and discusses the management and cooperation tools used by these institutions in the pursuit of more efficient public service. The text highlights, in particular, the use of Consensual Administration—through instruments such as public hearings, technical meetings, and inter-institutional pacts—as a model that overcomes bureaucratic logic, maximizes resources, and shares technical expertise. It is demonstrated that this joint collaboration has been fundamental for solving sensitive social problems in the areas of health, education, and childhood. Finally, the analysis includes an evaluation of successful initiatives, such as the "Tocantins Commitment to Early Childhood" and the "Municipal Ombudsmen" project, concluding that the partnership is an effective response to contemporary challenges and contributes to the consolidation of fundamental rights and citizenship in Tocantins.
